Katie Wahl

Katie Wahl began dancing at the age of six. She started her official ballet training at the San Diego Civic Youth Ballet in Balboa Park, directed by Danika Pramik-Holdaway, and continued her training at Inspire School of Ballet under Felicia Alvarez. Ms. Wahl furthered her training, intensively, with Bernadette Mirentxu Torres.
Right out of High School, Ms. Wahl received an offer to join Ballet Magnificat!’s Trainee Program. She danced with the Trainee Program for two years in Jackson, Mississippi. While with Ballet Magnificat! she was coached by Kathy Thibodeaux and Cassandra Voborsky, as well as several international coaches including Sol Maisonet and Jiri Sebastian Voborsky.
Her roles include corps de ballet in Ruth, corps de ballet in A Christmas Carol, Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, Alice and The Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, Ursula in The Little Mermaid, Clara in The Nutcracker, and more.
Additionally, Ms. Wahl also studied mime/drama for eight years and became the assistant director of Aim San Diego. Currently, while furthering her teaching and education experience through the TDBP Mentee program, Ms. Wahl is working towards her degree in psychology/counseling to nurture her heart for people and mentoring.
